What colour is your glacier?

In 2022, I spent a month in Svalbard to conduct research for Northlandia, the imaginary arctic country in my world of 2084.

In 2026, I’m going back!!!

At the end of Jan 2026, I’ll travel for 50 hours from Hong Kong to Longyearbyen, the world’s northernmost town. I’ll spend a month with the Spitsbergen Art Center where I’ll

  1. Make tonnes of sketches and studies for large woodcut paintings

  2. Get ideas for scenes for upcoming animation project

  3. Take photographs for the upcoming publication “The Official Guide of Northlandia”

  4. Take photographs for upcoming exhibition at the library of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

  5. Work on upcoming publication “Northlandia stories北島國故事”

  6. Play with polar bears (don’t tell my husband—he’s jealous of polar bears!)

(I know that's a lot. That's how I operate lol.)

Now you can become part of the journey through collecting a woodcut print I’ll make during the trip! This will also help fund my trip.

What will the images be? I have no idea either! That really is part of the fun! All I know is that they’ll be beautiful!

The image will be carved in Feb in the arctic and hand-printed after I return to Hong Kong in March—the works will be shipped to you by the end of March! Xoxo

I want to get your exclusive artistic love notes!
