Sedna is the Ice Queen’s princess narhbear sister, the polar bear and a narwhal (hence the dotted pattern and blue/grey colour.) She is the best swimmer in her country Northlandia.

While her sister the Ice Queen believes in fending off intruders and spies from the other G4 countries (Contradictoria, Dreamland, the Republic of Strata and the Aristocratic Union), Sedna believes in diplomatic negotiations.

To the extent that she swims south to negotiate with the G4 behind her sister’s back, only leading to disastrous results.

P.S. Sedna is the Inuit ocean goddess. The origin of my narrative “Northlandia” is greatly inspired by Inuit mythology.

✵✶✺

This woodcut painting is carved and then coloured with the highest quality artist pigments. Archival professional-quality paint is meant to last over 100 years. I spray the artwork with three extra layers of UV protection.

The work is framed in a beautiful ornate super sturdy solid pine wooden frame. You have a choice of black or white frames.

This piece is part of my “21 Day Challenge” project. During 1-21 November 2024, I created one small woodcut drawing per day. Each features an animal character inhabitant from my imaginary arctic country “Northlandia.”
